MoodGoing respects your privacy. This policy describes the personal information we handle through moodgoing.com, our communications and the planning and delivery of private travel services.
1. Information we collect
We may collect your name, contact details, nationality or country of residence, travel dates, party details, interests, budget preferences and correspondence. For a confirmed journey, we may also need passport details, transport information, accommodation preferences, emergency contacts, dietary information, mobility needs or other information required to make the arrangements you request.
2. How information is collected
We receive information directly from you, from someone arranging travel on your behalf, from an authorized travel advisor or business partner, and from suppliers involved in a confirmed service. Our hosting and security systems may automatically record standard technical data such as IP address, browser, device, access time and requested pages.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries; design, price, confirm and operate journeys; communicate service updates; coordinate suppliers; process payments; protect guests and our systems; maintain records; improve our services; and meet legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations. We use sensitive details such as health, mobility or dietary information only where needed to assess or provide the requested service and with appropriate care.
4. Reasons for processing
Depending on applicable law and the context, we process information to take steps at your request before a contract, perform a booking contract, meet legal obligations, protect vital interests, pursue legitimate interests such as service improvement and fraud prevention, or act with your consent. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it, although this does not affect earlier lawful processing.
5. Payments
Online payments are processed by PayPal under PayPal’s own privacy terms. PayPal may receive your payment account information, transaction amount, booking or proposal reference, selected tour, travel date, party size and technical information needed to process and protect the transaction. MoodGoing receives transaction identifiers, payer details, status and payment information needed for fulfilment, reconciliation and record keeping, but does not store full payment-card credentials.
6. When we share information
We share only information reasonably needed with hotels, guides, drivers, transport and ticketing providers, venues, experience hosts, technology providers, professional advisors and business partners involved in your enquiry or booking. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a legitimate business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
7. International processing
Travel and technology providers may process information in China and other countries whose privacy laws differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards and limit information to what is necessary for the service.
8. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including operating a journey, supporting guests, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and booking status, after which information is deleted, anonymized or securely archived where permitted.
9. Security
We use reasonable organizational and technical measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by ordinary email.
10. Cookies and measurement
The website may use essential cookies and standard hosting or security logs to operate reliably. If optional analytics, advertising or preference cookies are introduced, we will provide choices or obtain consent where applicable. You can also control cookies through your browser, though blocking essential cookies may affect functionality.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where legally required or needed for a valid booking, dispute or security purpose.
12. Children
Our website is not directed to children making independent enquiries. A parent, guardian or authorized group organizer should provide information needed for a minor’s travel arrangements.
13. Updates and contact
We may update this policy as our services or obligations change. The current version and update date will appear on this page. For a privacy question or request, email vip@moodgoing.com.
